Hello:

This is my first post. My name is Steve Winn and I am the owner of Winn Mfg. in Granville NY. I have been in the machining industry since 1975 and have been working with CNC machinery since 1979. The photo below is a picture of our building. I started my CNC machine shop in 1995 and we have been at this location since 1996. We have 3 CNC turning centers and 4 CNC machining centers. 3 are verticals (2 with pallet changers) and 1 is a horizontal with a pallet changer. We also have manual lathes and Bridgeports. One of the Bridgeports has a CNC control on it. The vast majority of our work is machining castings. We work with cast iron and cast aluminum parts mostly. To see the facility list, please go to our website at winnmfg.com   My plan with this blog is to post the processes and the problem solving we go though to machine castings and other parts for our customers. I am hoping that our customers will follow this blog. It will give them a view as to how their work gets machined and hopefully potential customers will see that we are very capable of doing their parts too.
